Cross-highlight pass over every proposed rewrite — consistency, improvement, coverage, conflicts.

Consistency across rewrites

• Banned punctuation in proposed text: clean after two targeted fixes. Two hyphenated compounds slipped into agent-written footers ("10-minute walk" and "walk-in" in canarian-craft and guanche-people) and one en dash ("Tue–Sat"). All three fixed post-hoc; current proposed text across all 8 highlights contains no em / en / hyphen introductions by the review itself.
• Proper-noun hyphens preserved. "Rear-Admiral" (Nelson's Arm slide 2) and "Ibero-American" (Living Traditions) are carried over from the source digest. They are proper nouns; rewriting is a judgement call for the content team, not a review veto.
• Canonical terminology "Teide" (no article) applied uniformly. The Guanche slide 5's "the Teide" fixed to "Teide"; Festivals already used canonical "Teide" in the current copy. No terminology conflicts between highlights.
• Number style partially applied. The step-back rule was "digits for all numbers ≥ 2". Applied where natural: "2,000 years" (Guanche slide 1), "2" / "3" for mummy counts (Guanche slide 6), "9 kingdoms" (Guanche slide 4 title), "9 warships" (Nelson's Arm). Not applied in idiomatic phrases: "in two" (split-in-two idiom), "Two teams of 12" (Living Traditions slide 2), "two campaigns" (The Conquest slide 1), "all three in twenty minutes" (The Conquest slide 4, closing quartet preserved verbatim). Flag: the content team should decide whether idioms count as exceptions, or whether to normalise all to digits.
• Space-before-colon clean. Every instance stripped in proposed text.

Improvement check

• All 8 highlights propose improvements over current copy. The strongest per-highlight lifts: Canarian Craft slide 7 (strips cliché + voice drift + adds practical footer); Architecture slide 5 (fixes missing-verb grammar + space-before-colon in one rewrite); The Conquest slide 3 (em dash strip that normalises parallelism with slide 2's closing shape).
• Preserved-verbatim beats are defensible. The Conquest slide 4's closing quartet, Canarian Craft slide 5's mother-to-daughter couplet, Architecture slide 1's anaphora, and Nelson's Arm slide 4's Gutiérrez-wine-and-cheese detail are all strongest-moments that survived the rewrite pass.
• One risk of under-rewriting. Living Traditions slide 1's flowery "soul of every festival and romería" is revised in the Workflow A insight review; confirm the Workflow B deliverable for Living Traditions also carries that rewrite forward, not just a structural recommendation.

Coverage of step-back findings

• Fix 1 — Strip banned punctuation: ✅ covered. The Conquest slide 3 em dash, Canarian Craft slide 2 em dash attribution, Canarian Craft slide 6 hyphen gloss, Nelson's Arm slide 2 space-before-colon, Architecture slide 5 space-before-colon, Festivals slide 1 space-before-colon — all addressed in the respective Workflow B rewrites.
• Fix 2 — Add a "how to experience this" footer per highlight: ⚠️ partial coverage. Inline footers added on Nelson's Arm, The Guanche, Canarian Craft, The Conquest, Venezuela Connection. Not added inline on Living Traditions, Festivals, Architecture — these three flag the gap in recommendations_html rather than proposing the footer as a new guide-note. A second pass should convert at least Festivals' missing booking-window cue into an inline guide-note; the Living Traditions terrero footer is the single highest-value addition still pending.
• Fix 3 — Verify the 5 time-sensitive facts: ✅ covered. Each affected highlight flags the verification needed in recommendations_html. Nothing fabricated: where hours, dates, or counts couldn't be verified, the rewrites either soften ("for centuries" instead of "16th century") or flag ("verify current hours" placeholder). The content team needs to resolve the verification list before publishing.

Conflicts between highlights

• No terminology conflicts. "Teide" canonical everywhere; "Fernández de Lugo" consistent across The Conquest, Architecture, and Festivals (slide 6 Fiestas de la Cruz guide note); "MAIT" and "MUNA" consistently treated as abbreviations with expansions where first introduced.
• Number-style treatment varies between highlights. The Guanche converts words to digits aggressively ("2,000 years", "THE 9 KINGDOMS"); The Conquest preserves "two campaigns" and "all three in twenty minutes" as idioms; Living Traditions preserves "Two teams of 12". Not a conflict in meaning, but an inconsistency a reader flipping between highlights will notice. The content team should set one policy and apply it in a single sweep.
• No rewrite in one highlight contradicts a rewrite in another. The closest near-miss: The Conquest's proposed slide 4 footer and Architecture's proposed footer both name La Laguna as a destination; both are consistent on what they recommend (morning visits, historic centre, named landmarks).
